I often feel like such a noob asking things like this, but What IS a Quarter Grand?? Sounds like $250 to me.

Also, I once heard a brief explanation of the origin of "Cabinet Grand" and "Upright Grand", but it was a long time ago from a non-tech and I never really fully understood what he said. Same as QG?
Aound here (central Iowa), Quarter Grands seem to be the Ford F150s of the
piano world -- they're ubiquitous and they keep chugging along.

Of course, I undoubtedly see a lot of them because Maurice Roseburrough
rebuilt a lot of them during the '70s-'90s (and because they've stayed in
the Midwestern climate). But their owners love them, and they're providing
good service. And, of course, they don't cost a lot......

I bought one, cheap, from a local HS (case is a mess, and the soundboard is
covered in glitter, but MR had repinned/restrung/rebuilt it at some point),
and I'm sure it will prove to have been a good investment when I finally
sell it. Right now, I'm having fun playing it. I'd take another if it was
offered to me.

Annie G.

> -----Original Message-----
> From: Greg Newell [mailto:gnewell@ameritech.net]
