Me thinks that the issue is that most
techs (as well as mechanics, computer repair, plumbers, etc) build in a
profit margin on parts and if the general public knows the ACTUAL cost,
they might raise a stink about it. Although when I get my car fixed,
I just grumble and pay the bill. pw

Hi David

Here in the factory we do not sell to retail customers. We require
proof of
relation to the piano trade before any prices are quoted or a price list
is
sent. Therefore, you can consider our prices to technicians "wholesale",
even though we do not have a retail price list.
