Baldwin with the accujust pins and that was many years ago. The recommendation
at that time was to set the plate so that you could string it with 0 bearing
and the strings would be close to the top of the hitch pin. Then using
the bubble gauge that they would loan you, you go from bass to treble setting
the bearing by lowering the strings on the hitches. There is a specific
amount of bearing for each section. They well might have changed their
procedure since then but 20 plus years ago that was generally it. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
