I finally gave up my 43 year old tuning hammer and have
been using a Jahn top of the line tuning lever for about a year and a
half now. It wasn't because I'm frugal, It's just that I never thought
about changing it. The stiffness compared to my old hammer made it so much
easier to feel and set the pin. Now I reading all this talk about
the Fujan and Faulk and how much stiffer they are. Are they $200 to $300
better? and if so, which one is better? It was a big change from my old hammer.
Would it be that much of a change again with these?

>I have bought an
embarrassing number of expensive hammers over the years but no more. I bought
the Fujan carbon fiber hammer about a year and a half ago and have stopped my
search for the perfect tool.
>
> I kept my Jahn extension hammer
for the occasional "heavy lifting" and I use it on the top section of grands

would compare with the Faulk, but it is so light, so stiff, so strong, and so
comfortable to use that I do really recommend the Fujan to anyone seriously
evaluating hammers. Site is ...
>
> >I've been using a prototype of a new tuning lever since October.
It
>>has a 5/8" carbon fiber shaft, a custom handle, and a
full-sleeve
>>aluminum head. The lever is long but still
light-weight. The tubular
>>head provides for a very stiff
overall feel. I wasn't in the market
>>for a new lever, but I
ended up asking to purchase the prototype
>>because I liked it
so much.
>
>>You can see the production version at:
>
