object. No trace of serial number but it should be somewhere on the treble plate
side underneath the regold. I'll include some photo's of the pinblock.
WOW! I'll check out your plastics reference Dale and Dean's suggestion for
the drafters supplies stores. I had pondered David's idea of having the scale
design calculated. I know this has been discussed on the list before so I need
to research and find who can help me with this..... Any suggestions who? I'm not
seeing anyone in the PTG directory. I'll be in Anaheim for sure!
Thanks to everyone!

HEy Dave

Impressive bridge cracks. I have used 10 mil mylar for years
& it's a very good material. relatively stiff. I am however in the
process of changing over to the David Hughes method of permanent Plexiglas
master patterns.... for the pianos we do commonly...let's see....which ones
are those? For everything else 10 Mylar is fine. 5 mil I find too
flimsy.
Check Plastics 2000 or other plastics store. You may
need to order in bulk but sometimes they have rolls they can cut off
of.
Dale Erwin

-----Original Message-----
From: David

Greetings,

I'm attempting my fist soundboard replacement a
la Bolduc and I'm looking for some Mylar to make the hole pattern in the
bridges. I've been to arts n crafts stores, office supplies and the big orange
builders store (you know the one) and all I can find is a 8x11 sheet product.
Apparently I can get this in a roll, as explained on the Bolduc soundboard
replacement video with Christian Bolduc, but what kind of supplier has this
stuff. Even been to a paper specialty shop but no luck. Any help would be
greatly appreciated!
