I use both. My ppc is a dell X30 - I wouldn't recommend it for full time use<BR>
because of the battery life. It runs fast but is a power hog. Go with a min.<BR>
486 machine, the Verituner likes a lot of speed.<BR>

I love the smaller box to carry, the display seems to respond quicker.<BR>
It starts up MUCH faster than the big box. The red color needle is a welcome<BR>
change. I'm not sure that the note changing is as good as the box,<BR>
especially in the high treble. Do use the microphone display bar to <BR>
adjust your mic volume. I don't use the ppc for anything else, so I <BR>
haven't had any problems with conflicts.<BR>

I did run over my old ppc in the garage once. I have a backup Dell X5 that worked <BR>
ok until I got another screen for the X3. (I have it overclocking almost as fast as the X3)<BR>
that's the beauty of software - a quick<BR>
search of Craigslist, or a shopping trip and you are back in business. (Dave Carpenter<BR>
was quick to get the software to run on the new ppc)<BR>
