levers & tips? It seems as though the tips that screw onto extensions are
either Hale-type or Watanabe-type - and the threads for screwing the extension

what size these threads are so that I can purchase appropriate taps and dies to
get me going again....</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Yes they are different and your shaft is not heat
treated so rough tight pianos will strip the loose thread.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Two or more issues I think invilved here. Metric
and standard inch thread and wearing out of threading die.</FONT></DIV>

I have run into and the Sole the smallest.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Arial>I've managed to strip the threads of both my tuning

female threads of the Hale tips different size from the Watanabe? It sure
appears that way.</FONT></DIV>

nothing seems to screw properly to one another...... :-(</FONT></DIV>
