white vinegar on the old felts. After you apply a healthy amount to each

<DIV><BR></DIV>i want to replace just the center section backchecks of an old
Steinway during a partial regulation. I noticed i can buy backcheck felt. i
wonder: could i get the ild felt off and glue the new on without compromising
the wippen pinning? <BR>or should i just remove the backchecks anf replace
them with the block, and if so, with or without a new wire? what's the easiest
