<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>I am quite sure the customer with the broken string
on his Schimmel who invoked several gods in the process of stomping up
stairs, whose piano was 35 cents flat at the top and 15+ cents flat at the
bottom, yet had it "tuned within the last year or<I> sometime</I>" does not
wish me as his tuner, and after the response to my comments, I chose to
return the check to the person. The characteristic "chinks" at each of the
agraffes should have warned me, though I tumed one piano over a period of
years at regular intervals where the "chinks" never went away. I've done
this one other time in my 15 years. I don't want the money of someone
who has unfairly decided I'm incompetent. It happens.
There is no way he will be convinced otherwise, even though I can document an
excellent service record over numerous years. So for better or worse,
he's out nothing, and I can take a loss better than sleepless nights of self
negation.</FONT></P>
