guess my point is that if over 100 teachers never had an issue with those spring
loops, it is possible that the Yamaha action is at least modestly adequate
without them. Of course I was very aware the school district would never
approve replacing them, never. They hardly wanted to pay for broken
strings, or hammers kids ripped off........</FONT></SPAN></DIV>

with mostly Yamaha uprights. 90% of them had broken spring loops.
NEVER did I once have any teacher complain about how the action worked.
I told a few teachers early on, but they didn't care, and the school district
didn't want to pay for it, so it didn't get done, and no one was complaining
at the time I quit.</SPAN></DIV>
