Hi Jon, <br>Thanks for your reply. This sound occurs only when the strings are vibrating after being struck by the hammers, after the damper pedal has be depressed. There is no excess noise when operating the damper mechanism. Do you think there is "feed-back" from the plate going into the strings, the bass strings, in particular? Very perplexing!<br>
