font-family:Arial'>I'm getting ready to embark on a rebuilding job. The
piano in question is a 6 foot Kimball. Not my choice of
a rebuildable instrument, but what the hell... Its a piano I got for
nothing, and will get a little something back out of it I hope. The year
of manufacture is 1904, so its not quite as bad as some of the later stuff they
put out. Being that I have no one telling me what they want the piano to
sound like after the job is complete, I'm thinking of changing things up a
little. I have never got to experience the sound of Isaac hammers and
bass strings. I know that others on this list have, and I want to know
what you know. If you don't want to put it out for god and everyone to
read you can email me privately. One thing that this piano could improve
on is the bass. It sounds smaller than it should. Don't get me
wrong the strings are dead, but I can tell that the bass lacks depth and
growl. I have read some good testimonials about the Isaac products, and
just am looking for a few more, good or bad. Thanks!
