But, Barb, I install the screws from the top. I don't have to use the nuts. I drill from the top down, then press the T-nuts up from the bottom and just use the machine screws from the top. (picture 14) Try dealing with those to fix other pedal problems!   I tilted the piano and installed the t-nuts and the right size screw-head bolt.
