COLOR: navy; FONT-FAMILY: Arial">What’s the problem exactly that leads you to believe there’s a strike point issue?  Only by moving the action up and down (in this case) will you be able to tell by listening whether the tone changes in a way that you like.  It will only be an issue in the treble and the point at which it becomes a non issue varies from piano to piano.  It is the change in tone as you move the action do a different strike point that you need to listen for.  If the tone is very thin and weak then the hammers are likely too close to the pressure bar.  If the tone is somewhat distorted and lacks focus then it is possibly to far away from the bar.  Only by shifting the piano up and down and comparing the tone in different positions will you become sensitive to the changes.  This is t</SPAN></FONT><FONT face=Arial color=navy size=2><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt;
