I haven't used either one very extensively, but my recollection is that <a href="http://paint.net">paint.net</a> is a bit easier to use... more straightforward and intuitive. </div>
<div><br></div><div>You do have to have your Windows computer reasonably up-to-date... i.e. it requires XP/20003/Vista and Microsoft .NET Framework 2. If you have XP, I believe it will install .NET 2 if you don't already have it. </div>
<div><br></div><div>Ditto JD's comment about manipulating sizes (and whatever) on the computer. Take the pix at highest resolution. If you ever want to print them, you'll get much more desirable results. You can take your memory card (or the whole camera) to a processor (Pro-Ex, Walgreen's, etc.) and have "regular" prints made, just like the old days, except you can pick and choose just the ones you want.<br>

I'm afraid I can't suggest any Windows application to reduce the size of files because I work mainly on the Mac and use an old version of Photoshop to prepare files for the Internet; but there is so much free stuff for Windows that I'm sure someone can suggest a freeware app. You can also look here:<br>
