I use this program, which allows for easy reductions, will allow
viewing and editing of (most) any file format, and is free. The
pictures that I've uploaded most recently were reduced to 640x480, and
they made it onto the list ok while still being large enough to see
clearly. Jon's advice to start with high-res and then crop out
unnecessary edges before reducing is good, and this is also quite easy
and intuitive in irfanview.<br>
