The action frames have Boesendorfer penciled on them. The hammer rail says Schwander. Most of the action in normal, except the hammer butt flanges. These seem to have, instead of standard felt bushings, a serrated brass ring with, what appears to be a "plastic" insert. This is pressed into the wooden flange. Any idea(s) about this type of flange would be greatly appreciated. My specific questions are: 1. Is the plastic Teflon? 2. How is the plastic insert attached to the serrated brass collar? 3. What would be recommended to ream/size these "bushings"???</DIV> <DIV>I've been in Piano Technology for 36 years, and have never seen anything quite like this.
