<div dir="ltr">I've done this repair on a YC U107A. The aluminum tube has an inside diameter that snugly fits a dowel... I'd think 5/16" or 3/8", but I failed to record that info. Anyhow, that way you can preserve the interior appearance of the piano (where many owners don't even know they can easily look) and avoid the possibility of the tube/rod bending/kinking (as long as you don't do that while you're sliding it over the dowel!!)<div>

anything, I told the customer, I would replace the aluminum rod with a wood

has an aluminum pedal rod, and the end that sticks into the pedal lever is a
plastic knob that screws into the rod. The customer has a heavy foot,
and broke off the knob right where it screws in. Where I can get another
