They flew a helicopter just offshore for the entire length of California and photographed the entire coastline. Not nearly as close a look at peoples homes as Google's Street View but still pretty amazing. Looks very other worldly. It's just a clamp on rack that goes on top of the cars roof. It's a black box with a small post sticking out of it and sitting on top is a black spinning ball about 8" or 10" in diameter. I got the idea to shoot some of the more interesting homes belonging to my clients, then approach them with the idea of selling some of these photos. BAD IDEA!! Not only were they not interested in the photos, they were upset with me taking pictures of their property.
