pivoting in the same place as the underlever centers, as it minimizes the slide
friction of the underlevers on the tray. This does however change the
leverage of the return spring. I too replace the leaf
spring at the treble end with a coil spring between the alto and
tenor, but have found it to be inadequate when I relocate the pivot accordingly.
Someone (maybe David Love) recommended adding a second spring. Where does the
second spring go and how does it affect the feel of the
pedal?</STRONG></FONT></DIV>
