built pianos with thick Mason-like rims.</DIV>
<DIV>Rebuilt they sound quite good. Some of the 77s use solid oak bridges and
should be looked at carefully. Some used an oak base with maple cap, and others
are maple-maple (these sound the best).</DIV>

<DIV>Models 55 and 66 have a mock "tension regulator" and also sound quite
good. However,.these are very high tension scales and always have weak pins in
the tenor for the first 6 unisons above the break. Replacing the
block with Delignit or Falconwood solves the problem.</DIV>
