<DIV><FONT face=Tahoma size=2> Shawn: Over 20 years time
I have done all ideas mentioned, but word of mouth was still the most productive
and longest lasting. However a close second for new business was
this: I had a sign made up similar to the "For Sale" signs realtors
use. Knowing passing motorists had only a second or two to read it, the
sign read, "PIANO TUNING" and the phone number below, both in large block
letters. Nothing else. I placed it on the lawn near the road in
front of my home. After about a month, I began getting 3-4 calls a
week. Apparently it took awhile for the words to sink in to passersby, but
it worked amazingly well. </FONT></DIV>
