James,
I saw your Amazon review and bought a 4hp Metro blower / vacuum a few
months ago. The power is almost scary (I sometimes have to be careful
where I point the exhaust). I carry mine around in a duffel bag -
awesome tool.

Here is my review of it, including links to the lowest price I've found
($139):

I'll add my two drachmas to this and vote strongly for the
Metropolitan Vacuum as featured on Garrett Wade. It is rather loud but
it strong as all get out and does have both vacuuming and blowing. As
I once wrote in a review, if someone hooked up the blower end and then
mistakenly hooked up the vacuum end, a serious time warp could occur .
