But on the other hand, when someone is ready to get his/her piano rebuilt, how people are going to go to the trouble of comparing our cost for parts to the wholesale list? For one, one really needs to understand and know the names of parts, and which ones are needed for a particular piano. And second, even though this is supposed to be a confidential parts list, the fact that Steinway just published a new part list, (which I got, by the way, right after I asked for it), you can bet that some "unauthorized" people got it, too. The same with Schaff's price list.
