<DIV><FONT face=Arial> The part is called a wind motor. Remove the screws
holding those brackets at the top of the block and pivot the brackets back. Then
on the right side of the motor feel for the sprocket and little chain and remove
it from the sprocket.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>Next , pull the motor toward you with your right hand
while removing the hose from its pipe with the left hand. The hose might be
petrified and not be easily removed so be careful. If it is a replacent hose it
will flex easily and slide right off. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>One tip --- pull a temperment strip through the
loops on your wire handled mutes . If they fall out of place whilst tuning they
won't drop into never never land!</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial>One more warning --- test the player before you do
anything . It might be DOA before you start and that should be established
before you jump in.</FONT></DIV>

<DIV><BR></DIV><FONT size=3 face=Arial>Hi Everyone,</FONT><BR><FONT size=3
face=Arial>I'm goning to tune a Aeolian Melodi Pro. I'm told it has a
helpinstill pick ups. I wanted to know is there a technique in removing
that before tuning? Someone sent me an e-mail a while ago, but I cannot
locate it. So I wanted to know if you could give me the heads up again.
</FONT><BR><FONT size=3 face=Arial></FONT> <BR><FONT size=3
face=Arial>Another piano I encountered yesterday-I went to tune a piano
yesterday and found out it was a duoart. Taking off the top wasn't a
problem but to get into the bass area to tune it one would have to remove the
player. It has these thin metal brackets that screw onto the piano which
I figured I would remove the screws, but it's connected to what looks like a
pipe or hose going into it, kind of reminds me of some of the pars under the
hood of a car. the pipe looking thing is gat and come out of the bottom left
of this big black part of the player onthe bass side. so is there a
knack for removing this? Should I jsut refer them to a tech. who works
on players? thanks</FONT><BR><FONT size=3
