left and right screw to the back of the action are loosely tightened first. This
points out to me quickly if the stack is correctly positioned equally over the
capstans.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>Another thing that I watch for is that I am not
depressing any keys as I place the stack in place. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2 face=Arial>I have often wondered if it would be easier to
place the stack on from the rear of the action but have never tried as it seems
like it would require more work to turn the action around resulting in breakage

after-touch throughout the piano If the stack is not returned to exactly
the original spot, the after-touch will change. Other tuners will have
their own favorite ways to insure accurate stack position.
