<Perhaps
this could take place in the User Help Group, or maybe it would make
more sense to create a new discussion group, how about "Forums Software
Development"?. Please give this idea some serious thought. One example
of additional detail we'd like to know: When will there be a
comprehensive Help file? Also, if as you posted in June the VBulletin
look and feel was a high priority and scheduled for the August updates,
why is it now scheduled for end of year?>

Mike, the User Help Group is open to everyone and functions quite
nicely. Those ideas would be welcomed there.

There already is a comprehensive Help File:
http://my.ptg.org/PTG/PTG/Home/FAQHelp_information/Default.aspx

It's under the home tab at my.ptg.org. You don't need to be logged
in to see it.
Also, "Getting Started" is on top of the left column. That seems to
be in the right place for
the new users to look at and get acquainted with the software.

As for the vBulletin release: I'm relaying what was said to me.
You're right that I said there was a release coming out in
August. Did the vBulletin look make the next upgrade? I can't answer
that. The CEO has
been preaching speed - speed - speed upgrade for months. Personally
it can't happen soon enough.
Please understand that if they decide to change what they choose to
upgrade and at what time, that is
way out of my control. The suggestion has been made, by more
organizations than the PTG,
so again - I ask patience. I hope the vBulletin look is in the next
upgrade..if not, then those, like us,
that have a strong desire for that look will once again preach.

Mike, I told The President that I would be accountable in this
position until Aug.29. The reason for the date was to
give the Home Office a little bit of a breather coming off the
Convention, and time to re-organize
Chapter Officers, Committees, moving mailing lists, etc to Higher
Logic. I anticipate being busy helping with these
changes. At that point, Aug.29, it will be the decision of the new
President whether that person wants to continue
having a Project Liaison like myself for the position. I can assure
you if there is one, it will not be me. I would be happy to assist,
and bring up to date that new Liaison. I will be
volunteering again on the ECC(if asked) and hopefully remain the
representative for the South East Region.
