<div>I'm just saying that PTG members who do not go to meetings, seminars, conventions, or would refuse an occasional re-test are probably not those we want in the PTG, or at least be able to retain an RPT label and have the ptg.org website promote them as Piano Technicians to the general public.</div>

<div class=MsoNormal><SPAN style="FONT-FAMILY: 'Calibri','sans-serif'; COLOR: #1f497d; FONT-SIZE: 11pt">We have all seen RPT’s do sloppy work but, by the same token, (and I don’t mean to offend anyone here on the list) I’ve seen a lot more NON RPT’s do a lot WORSE work and a lot more of it, and a lot more consistently than RPT’s including almost all DYIERS who think they are doing great work. What will we do about them? Most RPT’s really do care and most do excellent work. And most, RPT’s are the ones answering the majority of the questions on the list and here. To lump the PTG into meaning basically all of us RPT’s into one category as not caring as PTG members, isn’t fair either. We have worked hard to pass our tests. Unfortunately, I dare say, the vast majority of “tooners” out there, won’t even try to pass the tests let alone attend meetings, seminar’s or conventions…. What do we do <FONT size=2 face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">about</FONT> that? </SPAN></div>
