<DIV>One thing I’ll point out that I’ve experienced Tom, the screw holes for the
wood screws may need to be hollowed out to receive the screw head
......... OR you can bring slightly longer screws ............
OR you may not have to worry a bit about this depending on the casting. I
paid particular attention to the position of the whippen heel on the
capstans. If you get them to seat back in place exactly where they used to
be, you won’t have much adjusting to do. The same applies for the hammer
rail. This is assuming the proper strike ratios were established in the
first place and that nothing or no one has changed the regulation to accommodate
the changing/expanding brackets.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I’ve allowed 4 hours and have been usually done with the job in three using
this method. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The big headache for me on my first one was the screw holes
........... and the piano was two hours from here. Fortunately the
owner was a bit of a machinist and had bits and a drill press to handle the
job. I’ve used a hand power drill to accomplish the same in the
field.</DIV>
