<DIV><STRONG><FONT size=2 face=Arial>There are no tapes or checks . No such
things as centre pins and flanges in those days; all parts were attached with
leather and vellum hinges. The hopper (jack in today's terminology) was attached
to the key. We would still classify this as a bichord piano. Judging from the
pinblock, this has a wooden frame. Don't even bother trying to raise it to
concert pitch. Absolutely no value other than semi-mental purposes. James Curle
would be the name of the shop that sold it, not the maker.</FONT></STRONG></DIV>
