Valley Piano in MA makes inserts for the front mortise that can be glued in
place and restores the original look and fit. There's a bit more to it
such as routing out the key for the insert and a guage he sells to properly
locate the mortise. Makes it like new again and even has the new bushing
installed. I put in a whole set and they worked
