<font face="Arial">It's far quicker and easier to use a bottle with
fine nozzle with Protek, rather than to re-pin. One has to make
choices in these matters and the choice made depends on a number
of factors, not least the quality and age of the piano, and of
course the economic circumstances of the owner. <br>

In a fairly new concert grand one might made a decision different
from that made for a clapped-out old cheap upright that was pretty
poor even when brand new. Taking out the action and attempting to
re-pin can lead to all sorts of additional problems in a rickety
old action with flanges prone to splitting, and perished bridle
tape ends etc.<br>
