Thinking it through I'm not sure that the evaporation speed of the vehicle is as a significant variable. The Alcohol in whatever form delivers the water to the wool fibers which then swell , dry, shrink , compress or whatever happens . When this is complete the alcohol is long gone no matter what form. Personally I don't like to accelerate the shrinking with a heat gun. I'm thinking that a center could have a response to the heat that skews the true benefit from the treatment . I find that 12 hours or so will be enough time . I might be wrong on this and generally being of an  impatient nature I could be swayed.<br />As to the point made about the methyl vs denatured or whatever I've come to the conclusion that cost  is the criteria.I'll check out the Heet vs denatured .<br />Thanks for the heads up.<br /><br />Tom D.<br /> P.S.
