I've tuned a lot of P22's having worked with a yamaha dealer. As
someone mentioned, yamaha would trim the last damper so the outside
string would ring. I also noticed, and often got complaints about
the level of sustain on the 3 or 4 notes after the dampers ended.
Seems to be a P22 thing.<br>

that notes will ring due to the absense of dampers, but these
in particular seem to sustain longer. They don't die off
quickly, so much sustain that they almost blend in with others
nots you're playing. So sorry for the lack of clarity in my
