I use to service one of these that had a full Dampp-Chaser with
bottom cover, as well as a padded outer cover that was kept in place
whenever the piano wasn't in use (probably at least 23½ out of every
24 hours). Here in NH the low tenor would be off by 35¢ within 4
months of tuning. Before the Dampp-Chaser it would be off by 70¢.
This one also had some separation in the rim laminates at the treble
bend. It wasn't de-laminating, it was just poorly made and probably
glue-starved in that spot. You get what you pay for. Apparently, the
birth-rate of suckers remains undiminished.<br>

that you can make those
cheap Yamaha grands finally get stable if you
ruthlessly control the
environment. Dampchaser with cover, and absolutely
no air currents. Seal up all
HVAC registers within 20 feet. Check for ceiling
registers as well. And if it
is a church have them close the lid completely

was roughly 30 to 55c flat bass being the
flattest & a few in the very high
