I can’t really trace any new customers directly to it, but it is a free way to get your name out there and Facebook people really enjoy being able to connect with others on Facebook. I do know that I regularly pick up Likes from customers and non-customers. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> I’ve also run ad campaigns on Facebook. Again, I can’t trace any new customers directly, but it is a pretty inexpensive way to get your name out there. The ad shows up in the side column and people click it if they want more info. You only pay if people click. So they can read the ad and you don’t pay, but if they click and go to your page, then you pay. The amount you pay is a complicated bidding process that I don’t fully understand, but you set the limits of what you are willing to pay per click. You also set limits on how much per day you are willing to spend. Usually I bid $2 or $3 per click. The actual cost is usually about half that. You are competing with other business for the ad spot, and whoever is willing to pay more gets the spot. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The real beauty is the ability to narrowly target your demographics. You set your geographical target, then age, gender, and keyword search of the targets info page. Ours is a fairly unique service and I’ve never done advertising before that enables me to so specifically target my audience. It’s pretty amazing. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> As an example, a campaign this past February had a target audience of around 13,000 people, a daily budget of $15, a bid of $1.50 per click and it ran for 10 days. It was viewed over 500,000 times and garnered around 120 clicks. The actual cost was around $1.10 per click average. The geographic target audience started at around 2 million people before it was narrowed by my demographic picks.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> Every time I run a campaign I pick up more Likes on the page.
