What do you mean by not returning quickly enough? Can you actually see that the jacks are sluggish? You can tell some by feel. Sometimes its weak jack springs, sometimes other things. Is the piano properly regulated? Adequate lost motion? Are we considering that on upright pianos the repetition of a note requires full release of the key? If it’s simply lubrication you can liberally hose down the jacks with a hypo oiler extension.
