I size the holes with the appropriate bridge pin and alcohol after sanding and the coating the guide rail with shellac (I use rattle can shellac). No glue necessary and trying to do two layers of cloth isn’t either. I keep the 1.8 mm cloth in stock and cut to the appropriate width. If the guide rail holes are too small then drill the old bushings out with the drill bit that gives you the correct diameter.
