If you have submitted payment and received payment confirmation since that time, please disregard this notice." I know them - they are reasonable people who will listen if you have something constructive to help them do things better. Now wouldn't that have been easier for all of us? People forget to pay dues, or they assume a spouse took care of it. It's an honest mistake, but the Home Office is trying to be helpful to those who forgot, so their membership and RPT status doesn't lapse accidentally. I'm sure that there are some people who received those letters who were thoroughly grateful for the reminder. The reminder system could be improved with a brief disclaimer. But it's not an issue that needed to be brought to the attention of hundreds of technicians who are subscribed to this list for a piano technology discussion.
