I did notice upon removing the rail, that two of those repair springs had been installed. I've done lots of full spring replacements, removing all the old springs and pressing in a new set, which I HATE! So I might just get a whole set of the screw in type; yeah their a lot more expensive, but much faster and easier to install. Surprisingly no. No tell-tale mouse urine odor or droppings present. Piano is clean a a whistle, so unless the last tech did a thorough cleaning, and deodorizing, there just isn't any evidence. No rust either, and the strings are shiny as new including the coils. Looks like new having had little use, but many hammers won't return, and at first I thought the pinning was too tight, and/or just sluggish from non use and excess humidity, but then I noticed that there are NO bridle wires/straps at all. I've seen a few spinets without them before, but not very often. Any advice on getting the hammers to return, short of retro-fitting a whole new set of bridle wires and straps?
