I've also been using the I/O tape measure with the little window for many years. A good practice is to measure at points on the strings where the hammers actually make contact and not at some arbitrary point along the string. I like to push the tape up to the underside of the string, hold it there and lock the device, double check a snug fit between keybed and string, then relax and notate the readout (sometimes with a flashlight). Check it twice and notate in both metric and inches. <br>
