And be sure to have sustain pedal on.<o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> The newer high definition systems don’t require the keys to be depressed. Reach back in a push on of the plungers down. If it is spring loaded it is an older system and the keys need depressed. If it is not spring loaded it is a new system and it is SUPPOSED to be adjusted just to the bottom of the keys so the key should not need depressed. <o:p></o:p> <o:p> </o:p> To adjust pedal solenoid, adjust lift first. Pull plunger down and the bicords should not quite clear the strings. You want just barely enough lift. Then adjust the stop, which is on top of the solenoid, so that there is virtually no lost motion. You want very little solenoid travel to minimize noise, both in activation and the whump that occurs when the dampers return to the strings. Software also needs set to adjust the strike force ( the initial force to lift the dampers) and the hold force ( the force required to hold the dampers after they are lifted). If the complaint is that the dampers are not sustaining during Pianodisc operation, these parameters may need adjusted. Then press the sustain pedal, AND use the keyslip to depress ALL 88 keys while you push the action back to its proper, final position. <o:p></o:p> <div> <o:p> </o:p> </div> <div> To use the keyslip to do that, rest it on the fronts of the sharps so the lower corner edge is on the naturals and the back side is on the upper front "corners" of the sharps.
