Keep the general movers completely out of the loop. It might cost a little extra, but it will assure that the piano gets there in one piece. If he says no to the crating they can say "told you so" if anything goes wrong and if he says yes to the crating it adds a ton of money and lots of extra handling to the process. </div> <div> My mover has a place that will crate the piano but he said it's usually only done for overseas transport.</div> <div> The client would  have to move the piano to the crate shop then have the Van line pickup trhe piano there.A few years ago it was successfully moved from California to Ma. in the usual padded and strapped way.</div> <div> </div> <div>Am I off base here?
