Before you go and rip out a whole player action, try spending less than $10 on Ultra Odor Gone in a plastic tub. Put it down on the bottom of your piano,  and close it up for a week. I expect the odor will be gone and no new odor will replace it. This stuff is odorless and safe. It is uses in museums after fires and they can open it up to visitors in a couple days.
