steps, eliminating jigs, etc.?<br>

When you break off the drill bit below grade in the bridge, <br>
instead of doing one of the invaluable procedures which have <br>
been written here, you just take a bigger drill bit and drill <br>
right next to the broken one, hoping to drive it out sideways <br>
with a punch enough to grab the stub with vise grips, and <br>
then use the forstner bit and the maple plug, etc.<br>

and ................. you then can end up with TWO broken <br>
drill bits, side by side. <br>
