Sorry.  We appreciate as well all that our friends to the North contributed toward WWII. </div> <div>Just for thoughts: just north of where the family place is is Fort Warden and Fort Casey.  Both had large cannons at the ready for any intruders into Puget Sound. There were others too all around the area. Still are (of course much more advanced). For those of who might not remember, it was along the shores of Ford Island where the Battleships were moored during the attack on Pearl Harbor. </font></div> <div> </div> <div>When I got done with my appointment, I was only a few hundred feet from the water front, so I drove down to the Arizona Memorial.  Picture is from about 25 yards away. When I got back to my car, I had a great view of the Mighty Mo, the Missouri, which is docked only a few hundred yards from the Arizona. </div> <div> </div> <div>One of the few perks of living in Hawaii.
