I should make it clear again that the guy was not trying or
intending to treat the pinblock in any way; he meant to apply the
WD40 to the string coils only, in case of rust bonds. <br>
<br>
As you will have seen from the photos (posting them again in case
you didn't see them), the WD40 has spread around considerably. In
your experience, folks, will the WD40, having crept over the
surface of the pinblock, and slightly into the surface (see the
discoloration), will it also in an evil manner have crept down
into the holes?<br>
<br>
If the WD40 has crept down into the holes, do you know whether it
would prevent CA treatment from working to tighten the pins?<br>
