That baby wouldn't budge. I could feel that it was screwed down and could hear the metalic sound of the bracket. I guess that's a vision impaired thing, but I felt that it had to be those screws or actually the one that was screwed into the side of the piano. Why remove 4 screws instead of two?  I've seen other pianos that had this set up where the "L" shaped bracket had two screws screwed into the front panel and the other into the side of the piano.  The access is the trouble. My forearms are to big to get in there, and I'm not Mr. Universe, just an average guy who's in pretty decent shape for 47 :-)  Getting the correct positoin to reach a screw driver in there is also the huge challenge. I have 6 months to figure this out, but I'd like to figure it out sooner so I can come back and fix that one note which I think has a bad jack either pinning, cracked birds eye or spring, not sure.  I hope the picture gave an idea as to what I'm referring to.  It's one of those Knabe console  pianos with the lyer in front of the bottom board.  When I opened the lid the tuning pins were accessable. However it was a tight fit getting my nands in there to insert the temparament felt.  I'd sure love to be able to get that piece off so I can get in there.  Is there any chance of reaching it from underneeth or would the key bed leave too little room to get up there?   I'm also curious, do you guys floss between keys when you use tooth paste on them to remove the marker?.  Do you use the white gritty type or the blue jell type?  I'll have to try that sometime.   Marshall 215-510-9400 <A href="http://www.phillytuner.com">http://www.phillytuner.com</A> </div></body> </html>
