<DIV>Ah, right. There is one of his pianos at the BBC in Cardiff,
but with solid panels. I recently bought two excellent books by Alistair
Laurence, a history of the Broadwood Barless piano and a history of 5 London
piano makers (Brinsmead, Challen, Collard & Collard, Welmar,
Danemann. Very well written and informative. It is interesting
to read that Danemann were the last British makers of 9' concert grands and had
one in the Royal Festival Hall when it opened in the early fifties.</DIV>
