<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"><div>     I am glad to see a disdain of violence on this list. If we can put a man on the moon, and a go-cart on Mars, why do we still fight? Why are many children given karate lessons, today, instead of piano lessons? And violent video games, instead of MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS to develop their reflexes?? What beauty is brought to the world by kicking and punching, and "itching" for the day when one can put all that combative training to use??? <br />     And why all the fuss about teaching children math and science, when we don&#39;t even teach them, first, to be courteous? (I&#39;m appalled at the very high percentage of students at the University of Georgia here, who do not even bother to wash their hands after using the restroom ---REGARDLESS of "what" they just did in it!)<br />     If what we teach is materialism, competition and aggressiveness, instead of
